Catherine Mary Morgan (Kitty) Norris was born on April 19, 1920 in Dowlais, Wales. She graduated with a degree in Chemistry before eventually changing professions and gaining several education degrees. Norris then worked in administration and teaching. She married Leslie Norris in 1948 and remained married to him until his passing in 2006....

Plans for the David O. McKay building began in 1952 after an evaluation by the Brigham Young University College of Education concluded that the existing building for the College of Education were no longer meeting the growing needs of the program.
